The Company

The Company Principal has 40 years Aviation experience as RAF Aircrew, Civil Air Traffic Control Officer, Airport Operations Manager and Airport Manager.


Civil Aviation Authority Radio Instructor and Examiner.


Extensive Experience in Aviation gained over many years

Company Owner

Jonathan (Jon) Barnes has been involved in Aviation on a professional level for over 40 years. He served in the RAF as Aircrew amassing some 2600 hours flying as an Air Electronics Operator on the Nimrod Maritime Patrol Aircraft.


Leaving the RAF he trained as a Civil Air Traffic Control Officer with the UK Civil Aviation Authority after which he worked at a number of different airfields including London Heathrow, Swansea, Londonderry and North Denes Heliport.


Jon has been lucky enough to be Airport Manager at Swansea Airport and Carlisle Airport.

OUR SERVICES

Consultancy services for smaller airfields to assist with their development in challenging circumstances. In the current difficult times, we have the flexibility and tools to help.

For example, we are currently assisting Cardiff Heliport with their expansion plans and HaverfordWest with new RNAV Approach Procedures and training of new staff.


Basic Air Traffic Services Training leading to a Civil Aviation Authority Air Ground Radio Operators Qualification.


Radio Training for Commerical and Private Drone Operators to enable safe operation of their Drones around todays congested airspace.


Private Pilot Radio Training and Examination. 

The CAA is currently reviewing the syllabus and examination requirements for this, and so we wait and see!
